Join us at The Kitchen Collective + Collaborative for our October Book & Cook Club, an enchanting two-part experience that blends the joy of reading with the warmth of sharing meals together. This month we’ll dive into Alice Hoffman’s beloved novel, Practical Magic.

We’ll read this spellbinding story throughout the month, gathering twice to connect over its pages and flavors.

How It Works:

Start Reading: Pick up your copy of Practical Magic at HedgeHogINK (downtown Fort Scott) before October 1st and begin reading ahead of our gatherings.

Dinner Discussion – Wednesday, October 15 at 6:00 pm
Our first gathering will feature a cozy, Owens-inspired dinner menu while we discuss the first half of the book:

• Rosemary Lemon Roasted Chicken 🌿

• Butternut Squash Soup with Sage 🍂

• Herbed Focaccia with Sea Salt 🥖

Enchanted Evening Tea Party – Wednesday, October 29 at 6:00 pm
We’ll gather again for a candlelit tea party filled with whimsical sweet & savory bites, curated teas, and of course Midnight Margaritas, in honor of one of the book’s most beloved scenes. While enjoying this whimsical spread, we’ll dive into the second half of the book and celebrate the magic of sisterhood and story.

Cost: $50 per person – includes both the Dinner Discussion and the Enchanted Evening Tea Party. (Book not included.)
